Equity Scholarships

Equity Scholarships are into two categories:
  • Institutional Equity Scholarships: Individual institutions and the value eligibility criteria support this program.
  • Indigenous Student Success Program: The Australian Government funds this program. However, most colleges also offer merit scholarships, which you can apply for through the university.

Eligibility

  • First, New Zealand or Australian citizens have a Permanent Humanitarian Visa or an Australian Permanent Resident Visa.
  • Also, a school leaver with an ATAR of above 80, including bonus points. An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicant with an ATAR (or equivalent) of 69 or above.
  • Then, people whose year one in college is about to start. They’re taking a Bachelor in Engineering (Honours), a Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice at UTS.
  • Also, apply through UAC for an Equity Scholarship and show that you have financial hardship and other barriers to getting a good education.
  • Full-time enrollment in the Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice degree or Bachelor of Engineering, except they have approved the part-time study.
  • All students must apply for a scholarship through the application form to be eligible.
  • Lastly, all candidates must come to an interview in person to get hired.

Selection Method of the Linden Little Engineering Equity Scholarship

  • First, get a good grade at school.
  • To get a scholarship, you need to fill out the UAC Equity Scholarship Application or the Educational Access Scheme.
  • Also, applicants who have had long-term barriers to education and financial hardship will be looked at because of one or more of the following.
    • You must have a job.
    • It would help if you were from rural and remote places.
    • Also, you don’t speak English, have come from a non-English speaking background, or are refugees.
    • You have a disability or long-term health condition.
    • Moreover, you must be the only parent.
    • If you are from an Indigenous country.
    •  Also, you must have experienced problems at school and in your personal life.
    • In the scholarship application and interview, you show that you want to do well in your undergraduate Engineering class.

    Application Method

    All applicants for the Linden Little Engineering Equity Scholarship must submit their applications online through the Scholarship Application Form and follow any additional instructions that come with the form. However, to succeed for an Equity Scholarship or an Educational Access Scheme, you must apply through UAC and demonstrate financial hardship and other educational hurdles. For the length of the Scholarship, you must be enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice degree program, unless you have been granted permission to study part-time.
